A hydrant wrench is a tool used to open the valve of a fire hydrant. The jaws of life is a piece of fire fighting equipment that all fire fighter and emergency personnel carry. They are heavy duty cutters that cut doors in the event of an auto accident and the driver or passenger needs to be taken from the car and the door won’t open.
